Commitment
to anything is rare these days. We tend to look for the easy
way, and when pain and hurt and change are the issues, we will
most likely look for the way “around” instead of “through.” As
long as we avoid the tough issues, we will never be able to
confront the problems. Start learning to go through the hurts
instead of looking for ways around them. Your number one commitment through this trial HAS to be seeking to draw closer to Jesus. NOT how to fix the marriage. Understand that everything you are going through, Jesus already knows. He knows how you are feeling, He knows what has been done to you, He knows the desires of your heart. But He also knows whether you are seeking Him to fix your marriage or whether you are seeking Him because it is HIM you desire. |
