Changing Perspectives
|
When I was going through my trial of
separation, I found incredible comfort in books -- all kinds of
books -- anything to help me gain a better understanding not
only of my circumstances, but also of my own personal growth and
maturity in Christ. There was always something applicable for me
in everything I read. The more I read, the more I could relate, the more I wanted to write, too... and to share my journeys -- ordinary events, simple changes, Incredible God, changed perspectives!! My prayer is that, as you read the articles, you will see God's hand moving you to a new level of relationship with Himself. How you view God, yourself, others and your cirumstances will determine your attitudes and your level of peace within. Regaining the Friendship in Marriage Changing our relationships can be as simple as changing our perspective. Filling the Void The God-shaped void in all of us screams to be filled. But are we filling it with Him? Conquering the Winds The winds of life will always drown us if our eyes are not on Jesus. Convicting Compassion Is it compassion or self-righteousness? A Servant's Heart How many times do we question what others will think before we obey God? Finding Joy Amidst the Suffering There is purpose for our sufferings. Finding Our Place to Serve Where your trial has been is where you will discover your place to help others. Radically Restored Remembering the mountaintop highs of our original salvation. A Lifestyle of Choices Who am I becoming through the choices I am making? Relinquishing the Doubts What causes us to doubt the truths of God's Word? |

Exposing Our Light If we don't show others who Jesus is, then who will? Call Me Out of the Boat, Lord! Are we stuck in our comfort zones, or do we have the courage to get out of the boat like Peter? How Much Do I Love Him? I would have done anything for my husband's return... or would I? Trip of Faith Not a typical article, but a true life account of God leading to an unknow place for an unknow reason. The lessons and insights are worth the read! A Simple Choice to Trust A reflex of thought ignited a battle for my allegiance. Releasing Control Control keeps us chained to the actions of others. Find freedom by releasing that control. Parental Trust Isaac was 15 yrs. old when Abraham tied him up for sacrifice. Do your kids trust you that much? Distant Reflections Sometimes remembering who we used to be keeps us motivated to move forward. Seated Beside Him Jesus is my example for living. Running on Empty Tired? Burnt out? Return to God and find your soul revived. Through New Eyes Sometimes looking at situations another way will bring about a new experience. Subtle Side of Self Is everyone else at fault, or is the key to our problems our own selfishness? Are we Choosing to Walk Away? Sometimes we judge another's decisions, but are we doing the same things? Gentle Reminders God reminds us of His presence in the little things. The Wilderness Wait The hardest part of every trial is the waiting. |
